Over one hundred journalists attended the Press Conference and the speakers included Željko Ožegović – the President of the Board of Directors of the International Belgrade Book Fair, HE Dimostenis Stoidis – the Ambassador of Greece to Belgrade, Ms Kathrin Velizaris – the Director of the Greek National Book Centre, Nikos Cicimelis – the Director of the Hellenic Cultural Fund in Belgrade, Vladislava Gordić Petković – the Program Editor of the International Belgrade Book Fair and Anđelko Trpković – the Director of the Belgrade Fair and member of the Belgrade Book Fair Board.
The participants of the Press Conference pointed out that, after a lot of work which needed to be done, the preparations for the Book Fair have been completed successfully. A versatile agenda of the Book Fair has been presented, in addition to national presentation of Greece, the honorary Guest Country of the Book Fair this year.
Dragan Velikić Opens the 54th International Belgrade Book Fair
Dragan Velikić, a novelist and an essayist, the winner of the NIN Prize for the Novel of the Year, one of the most frequently translated contemporary Serbian writers is due to open the 54th International Belgrade Book Fair and give an address during the Official Opening Ceremony of the Book Fair on Monday, October 26 at 18:00 hrs.
On behalf of Greece – the Guest Country, Tanasis Valtinos will address the Book Fair.
