Clarification
The Official Gazette has had a complete transformation, from a
publisher which was first of all oriented to publishing of legal texts
and their interpretation, to publishing of the most important works
from social sciences and arts. The scheduled development vision is
accomplished successfully by publishing the main works of our and
foreign scientists. These are the works dealing with the political
theory, sociology and philosophy and thereby also the most relevant
matters of democracy and civil society. A special value of the edition
is that our society's drama is analyzed in several successful research
books.
The Publishing Project
The monograph Morava is an extraordinary and complex multimedia picture
of one of the most important Serbian waters. The rewarded book is a
scientifically precise and artistic exciting description of this river
– symbol and its place in the Serbian history and culture.
The Library Agora, published by Clio already since many years, consists
of carefully selected and in a modern way written books about the
current problems. It includes properly based theoretical, cultural,
social, political and psychological discussions on the significant
matters of the contemporary man and society. Agora teaches us the
dialog culture and opens new spiritual views for us.
The Edition Answers by the Author Miloš Jevtić
Miloš Jevtić, a long aged editor and master of ceremonies of the show
The Second Program Guest, left a great sound archive in Radio Belgrade,
with more than seven hundred discussions with eminent scientists and
artists. From such a sound archive, in 157 books, Jevtić created the
edition Answers, a unique testimony of our era, extremely important for
our culture.
The Children's Book
The rewarded book Give me a Circle of Wings by Vladimir Andrić is a
very happy meeting of the great poet, important publisher and a modern
children's sensibility. Andrić's poetical collection belongs to the
very top of the modern Serbian literature for children. |

THE BEST FAIR PRESENTATION at the 51st International Belgrade Book Fair has got
• the Publishing Company CLIO, Belgrade
Clarification
In a fascinating offer of the exhibitors at this year's International
Belgrade Book Fair, the exhibitor from Belgrade, the Publishing Company
Clio, was pointed out by a unique and refined approach to the visitor,
i. e. reader.
Unlike other exhibitors, this stand looks almost empty, to the minimum.
But, this is so just at first sight. Here, the market power and a rich
publishing work were not shown by attractive structures and overfull
shelves.
The book is here put ahead and any intermediary between the reader (visitor) and the books has been completely removed.
The architectural, painting, marketing, event the ergonomic approach
stress this exhibitor above any others. Positioned in the central hall,
with a simple black portal and white letters, the stand just takes the
visitors in into a reduced monochromatic space of the book temple. The
empty space philosophy gets here its full expression. A simple white
wall with a dominating white book in its space makes a visitor come
closer and take the book into his hands. The essence of such approach
shows the basis of the Book Fair itself, where the book is in the
focus, into which it takes a prospect reader, as well.
This year, Clio has demonstrated that modesty and low funds can create
efficient exhibiting results. The total visual impression of the stand,
the marketing philosophy, the quality of the advertising materials, the
kindness and well informing of the staff, make it the exhibitor with
the best fair presentation.
