Ala Tatarenko
Ala Tatarenko is a Ukrainian Slavist, a literary historian, a literary critic, a translator, an Assistant Professor at the Slavic Languages Department of Ivan Franko University in Lvov.
She translates the Serbian literature into the Ukrainian and the Ukrainian literature into the Serbian language.
She has translated into Ukrainian: The Encyclopedia of the Dead and A Tomb for Bosis Davidovič by Danilo Kiš, The New Jerusalem by Borislav Pekić, A Golden Mantle by Milorad Pavić, and many works of fiction and poems written by contemporary Serbian writers.
She has translated into Serbian Perversions by Jurij Andruhovič.
She is the author of a number of literary-historical and literary-critical studies and essays written in Serbian and Ukrainian.
She has published two books of studies and essays on the contemporary Serbian literature: A Meeting Point (2008) and In a Vicious Circle: Crnjanski-Kiš-Pekić.
She lives in Lvov. |
