Hall 1

Hall 1 is circular in shape, covered by a dome spanning 109 m. This is at the moment the largest dome in the world made of prestressed concrete.

Maximum ceiling height at the crown is 30.78 m. The hall was constructed in several levels, including the basement, the arena, the ground floor, 1st gallery, 2nd gallery, and the connecting segment to the West Wing. All levels are used for exhibiting with the exception of basement, where offices, the warehouse, and auxiliary facilities are located.

All external exhibiting area walls are made of glass, from the floor level to the dome.

Total gross floor area is 21,280 m2, of which 15,030 m2 is reserved for the exhibiting space.

This hall has cooling, heating, and ventilation.
